Why the change in frequency?

Most dairymen already receive 18 issues each year from us (12 issues of Progressive Dairyman, plus 6 issues of Ag Nutrient Management). To even out this flow of information.....it has been determined that an every-3-week publishing schedule (under the Progressive Dairyman masthead) will benefit our readers and make it easier for each dairyman to utilize the information in each issue. Ag Nutrient Management will become a 8.25” x 10.75” publication inserted into Progressive Dairyman on an every third issue basis (like our El Lechero publication has been).

Incorporating other publications into Progressive Dairyman…allows for more dairymen to read both El Lechero and Ag Nutrient Management…at the same time they are reading the latest in ‘dairy news.’ Plus more dairymen will now receive all three important publications in a regular timely manner.

Dairymen have demonstrated a high degree of interest in advertising that appears in Progressive Dairyman publications. The increased publishing frequency will provide advertisers more opportunities to promote a product more often … or more products in a shorter period of time. For example, seed companies that may target a 4-month window to get their message out will have 6 opportunities instead of the 4 they currently have.

This change of frequency and inclusion of Ag Nutrient Management and El Lechero within Progressive Dairyman will help dairymen stay up-to-date regarding two of the most critical aspects of dairy operation…(1) environmental concerns regarding manure management and (2) the training and performance of their entire dairy team. Those topics plus all the news and information provided by Progressive Dairyman will be arriving in a most timely manner…every three weeks. PD
